Founded in 2006, Aurora Cannabis received its licence to grow cannabis in Alberta, Canada in 2014, making it the first cannabis producer to obtain a federal licence in that province. Now the second largest cannabis company in the world, Aurora were early entrants into the European cannabis market. Currently, Aurora Europe, along with its subsidiary Aurora Deutschland, is the largest authorised importer, exporter, and distributor of medical cannabis in the European Union.

“Aurora is proud to support the French edition of Cannabis Europa. With more countries across Europe now recognising the benefits of medical cannabis, we believe that conferences like this are critical to fostering positive and enlightened discussion on the regulatory, legislative and socio-economic themes that are at the core of a disruptive evolution in the health management landscape.” said Dr. Axel Gille, Vice President of EU Business Development for Aurora Europe.

Aurora is known for their high-quality medical cannabis products, which are supplied to patients throughout Europe, and have been leaders in the German market since 2015. Aurora ensures that their products exceed the high cultivation standards specified under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

“While Cannabis Europa brings together people from across the cannabis space, our raison d'être will always be the improvement of patient access, especially access to quality medicines that suit their needs. Aurora’s commitment to providing both a high standard and a broad selection of medical cannabis products for patients is why they exemplify the ideals of Cannabis Europa.” - Alastair Moore, Managing Director, Cannabis Europa

We are also pleased to share that Cam Battley, Chief Corporate Officer of Aurora Cannabis and Hélène Moore, who works on corporate development for Aurora Europe in France will also be joining us as speakers next month in Paris.

Cannabis Europa is an opportunity to shape the future of European patient access and discuss the political climate surrounding medical cannabis. Cannabis Europa will explore the roles of each level of government and European policymakers in ensuring responsible reform, improving current systems and sharing knowledge and best practice to promote a sustainable and thriving industry. We are delighted that Aurora will join us in Paris to further this dialogue.
