Cannabis Europa Tickets - Terms & Conditions

  1. Agreement
    1. This Agreement is made on the date that the Host receives full payment for the ticket.
  2. Parties
    1. Hanway Associates, registered at 18 Hanway Street, W1T 1UF, Company Number:10824240 is the event manager for Cannabis Europa due to be held at the Barbican, London on 22.05.18 (“the Host”).
    2. The attendee who by placing an order through our site warrants that they are at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding contracts (“the Attendee”).
    3. Any reference in this Agreement to “us” or “we” refers to the Host. 
    4. Any reference in this Agreement to “you” refers to the Attendee.
  3. The Event
    1. Cannabis Europa is a conference operated and run by the Host due to be held at the Barbican, Silk St, London EC2Y 8DS, UK (“the Venue”) on 22nd May 2018 (“the Event”).
  4. Resale
    1. Tickets may not be resold or offered for resale for any purposes. Resale or the attempted resale of the Tickets is grounds for seizure or cancellation of the ticket without refund or compensation.
    2. You may transfer your registration to another person in your company or organization at any time by notifying info@cannabis-europa.com.
  5. Attendee Responsibility
    1. The Attendee shall be responsible:
      1. 5.1.1.for any loss, theft or damage to your Tickets after dispatch;
      2. 5.1.2.to ascertain whether the Event has been cancelled or rearranged. 
      3. 5.1.3.to arrive at the event on time. Every effort will be made to admit latecomers but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
      4. 5.1.4.to comply with all relevant statues, venue regulations including age restrictions and safety announcements whilst attending the event, performance or activity.
      5. 5.1.5.Unauthorised use of photographic and recording equipment at any of the events, performances or activities is prohibited and any tapes or films may be destroyed.
      6. 5.1.6.For your own personal property. The Host accepts no responsibility for any personal property.
  6. Right to Refuse Admission
    1. The Host reserves the right to refuse admission if in its reasonable opinion, your admission to the venue might be a risk to:
      1. 6.1.1.the safety of the audience and/or yourself;
      2. 6.1.2.affect the enjoyment of the member of the audience; and/or
      3. 6.1.3.affect the running of the event, performance or activity for example if you act aggressively or disruptively. Should this occur you will not be entitled to a refund.
  7. Venue Rules
    1. When attending the Event the Attendee will be subject to all the relevant rules and obligation imposed by the venue and hereby warrants to comply with said rules.
  8. Filming
    1. By attending the event the Attendee consents to the filming and/or sound recording of the Event as a member of the audience.
    2. Should you wish not to be filmed please contact the Hosts who will use reasonable endeavours to ensure that you are not filmed during the course of the Event.
    3. Photographs, Videos, and Sounds: The Host reserves the right to publish any photographs, videos and sounds recordings taken of sponsors, speakers and delegates at any official Cannabis Europa event (the “Recordings”), and to use and distribute such Recordings, whether in print, digital, social media or other platforms, including for promotional and commercial purposes. 
    4. The Host may edit and modify such Recordings, for example, among others, in order to include segments of the Recording in a promotional clip, or to package the presentation for a webinar. 
    5. You understand and agree that you will not receive, nor claim, any payment or other form of compensation with respect to Cannabis Europa’s use and publication of the above mentioned materials.
  9. Tickets
    1. This event is eTickets only. Please bring a copy of these e-tickets along with valid identification and the card used to pay for the tickets to the Event.
    2. Always check your tickets upon receipt and advise us promptly of any errors. Mistakes when ordering cannot always be corrected and any corrections are discretionary. If you have not received your ticket electronically, please contact info@cannabis-europa.com.
    3. To prevent fraud and protect Cannabis Europa and you, we may carry out checks and/or you may be asked to provide additional information (such as a copy of a credit or debit card statement) after your booking so we can verify your purchase. If we suspect fraud we may cancel any order or tickets.
  10. Price and payment
    1. 10.1.Prices are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect orders in respect of which have already been placed.
    2. 10.2.Payment for all Tickets must be by credit or debit card.
    3. 10.3.We reserve the right to cancel tickets if the venue requires us to reduce an allocation or if we have oversold an event due to human error. In this case we will provide you with a full refund.
  11. Refunds and exchanges
    1. 11.1.We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase unless the event is cancelled.
    2. 11.2.If an event is cancelled, ticket holders will be offered tickets at any rescheduled event (subject to availability) up to the face value of the tickets or, if the ticket holder is unable to attend the rescheduled event or the event is not rescheduled, a refund of the face value of the ticket. 
    3. 11.3.Refunds will be issued only to the original purchaser or to the original credit card used for the purchase.
  12. Changes to the event
    1. 12.1.The Host will use reasonable endeavours to inform you of any cancellation or substantial changes to the Event.
    2. 12.2.The Host reserves the right to alter or vary the programme of an event without being obliged to refund or exchange tickets.
  13. Host Liability
    1. 13.1.The Hosts liability for losses the Attendee suffers as a result of the Host’s breach of contract is strictly limited to the purchase price of the Ticket you purchased.
    2. 13.2.This does not include or limit in any way liability:
      1. 13.2.1.For death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
      2. 13.2.2.Under section 2(3) of the Consumer Protection Act 1987;
      3. 13.2.3.For fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
      4. 13.2.4.For any matter for which it would be illegal for us to exclude, or attempt to exclude, our liability.
  14. Transfer of rights and obligations
    1. 14.1.You may not transfer, assign, charge or otherwise dispose this Agreement, or any of your rights or obligations arising under it, without our prior written consent.
    2. 14.2.We may transfer, assign, charge, subcontract or otherwise dispose of a Contract, or any of our rights or obligations arising under it, at any time during the term of the Contract.
  15. Privacy Policy 
    1. 15.1.Once submitted, your contact details are owned solely by Cannabis Europa. We will not sell your contact details. If you do not wish to have your contact details shared with partners please contact us at info@cannabis-europa.com
    2. 15.2.We will always respect your privacy and any personal communication between you and Cannabis Europa and their partners. We will always comply with United Kingdom data protection legislation.
  16. Force Majeure
    1. 16.1.We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under a Contract that is caused by events outside our reasonable control (“Force Majeure”).
    2. 16.2.A Force Majeure Event includes any act, event, omission or accident beyond our reasonable control and includes in particular (without limitation) the following:
      1. 16.2.1.Strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action.
      2. 16.2.2.Civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war.
      3. 16.2.3.Fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster.
      4. 16.2.4.Impossibility of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport.
      5. 16.2.5.Impossibility of the use of public or private telecommunications networks.
      6. 16.2.6.The acts, decrees, legislation, regulations or restrictions of any government.
    3. 16.3.Our performance is deemed to be suspended for the period that the Force Majeure Event continues, and we will have an extension of time for performance for the duration of that period. We will use our reasonable endeavours to bring the Force Majeure Event to a close or to find a solution by which our obligations may be performed despite the Force Majeure Event.
  17. Waiver
    1. 17.1.If we fail to insist upon strict performance of any of these terms and conditions, or if we fail to exercise any of the rights or remedies to which we are entitled under the Agreement, this shall not constitute a waiver of such rights or remedies and shall not relieve you from compliance with such obligations.
    2. 17.2.A waiver by us of any default shall not constitute a waiver of any subsequent default.
    3. 17.3.No waiver by us of any of these terms and conditions shall be effective unless it is expressly stated to be a waiver and is communicated in writing.
  18. Severability
    1. 18.1.If any of these terms and conditions are determined by any competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent, such term, condition or provision will to that extent be severed from the remaining terms, conditions and provisions which will continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  19. Entire agreement
    1. 19.1.These terms and conditions represent the entire agreement between us in relation to the subject matter and supersede any prior agreement, understanding or arrangement between us, whether oral or in writing.
    2. 19.2.Neither party in entering into this Agreement relied on any representation, undertaking or promise given by the other.
  20. Jurisdiction
    1. 20.1.This Agreement shall be governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from, or related to, this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
