Cannabis Europa London
Europe is undergoing a transformation. Regulations controlling the production, marketing and distribution of cannabis products continue to signal the progressive end of failed prohibition – ushering in a fresh wave of investment and innovation within the cannabis sector.
- Date: 10 – 11 November 2021
- Venue: TBC
Cannabis Europa London will be hosted in a stunning central London venue with an uncompromising approach to COVID-19 safety. We are keeping the precise venue a secret, for now, but keep an eye out for updates.
“We are only at the very start of our journey of cannabis in Europe, but there is irrefutable momentum towards becoming the world’s largest cannabis market. It is only a matter of time.”
Stephen Murphy – Founder, Prohibition Partners
In November 2020, the European Court of Justice ruled that CBD is not to be considered a narcotic substance under EU Law. Followed weeks later, by the UN finally recognising the medical potential of cannabis by removing the plant and its derivatives from Schedule IV of the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs.
One year on from these regulatory milestones, we’re back with our flagship physical event – Cannabis Europa London, November 2021. Join us in one of the financial capitals of the world to showcase and assess the opportunities the European cannabis industry has to offer.
This year is an explosive time for cannabis. We have already seen some of the largest acquisitions in the history of the cannabis industry – with the purchase of the British company, GW Pharmaceuticals, followed by the acquisition of EMMAC by US-based Curaleaf – representing a huge vote of confidence in the European cannabis markets.
Experts at Prohibition Partners estimate the value of the European market for medical cannabis to be worth €230.7 million, as of the end of 2020. However, with a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 67.4%, this figure is predicted to reach €3.2 billion in just five years*.
Undoubtedly this is a big pie. But, who are the companies and individuals brave enough to get their slice early?
No matter the size of your business, navigating the European regulatory framework is demanding and costly, and with so much misinformation in circulation just knowing who to believe can be a challenge.
Cannabis Europa provides an overview of the region, including national and local markets, from world-leading government authorities, business leaders and industry pioneers across the region – delivering pivotal insights you need to succeed right from the source.
The increasing import of cannabis into the market suggests that the European supply of cannabis will likely diversify – but which countries are set to move in?
With only synthetic CBD being added to the European register of approved white-label products, how can organic seed to shelf CBD products continue to compete in the market?
How can cannabis businesses, from start-up to fortune 500, conquer Europe’s proverbial red tape?
Get the answers and meet the people you need to thrive in the European market. All this, and more, at Cannabis Europa November 2021.
